CRITERIA FOR SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATIONS​

The Trust will assess applications for scholarships having regard to the following criteria:

 

  • Student will need to achieve a pass grade or pass the entire course for the year just completed.

  • Scholarship for multi-year courses require previous year pass to be eligible for continuation in subsequent year(s).

  • Scholarship does not provide funding for accommodation costs, course-related costs or study leave days.

  • Local commitment to Ōpōtiki District would be an advantage.

 

CRITERIA FOR GRANT APPLICATIONS​

 

The Trust will consider applications for funding having regard to the following criteria:

  • The widest possible health benefit within the Ōpōtiki District.

  • Applications that assist the community becoming self-reliant in health needs e.g. purchase of medical equipment.

  • Projects and programs that have the potential to become self-funding.

  • Value for money.

  • The Trust should not replace funding which could more appropriately come from central government or other agencies and other funding that is available to applicants.

  • Any other criteria the Trust deems appropriate.
