
CRITERIA FOR SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATIONS
The Trust will assess applications for scholarships having regard to the following criteria:

Student will need to achieve a pass grade or pass the entire course for the year just completed.

Scholarship for multi-year courses require previous year pass to be eligible for continuation in subsequent year(s).

Scholarship does not provide funding for accommodation costs, course-related costs or study leave days.

Local commitment to Ōpōtiki District would be an advantage.
CRITERIA FOR GRANT APPLICATIONS
The Trust will consider applications for funding having regard to the following criteria:

The widest possible health benefit within the Ōpōtiki District.

Applications that assist the community becoming self-reliant in health needs e.g. purchase of medical equipment.

Projects and programs that have the potential to become self-funding.

Value for money.

The Trust should not replace funding which could more appropriately come from central government or other agencies and other funding that is available to applicants.

Any other criteria the Trust deems appropriate.
