I am a fourth year medical student who has studied in Dunedin for three years and now am based in Wellington for the remaining three years of my degree. Receiving a scholarship from OCHT has been an incredible honour and significant milestone in my career. It not only provides me with some financial support so I can focus on academic success, but it also serves as motivation and a reminder for why I chose this degree in the first place. This scholarship affirms the trust OCHT has in me to continue to work hard and remain dedicated so that one day I can return home to serve my community as a doctor.
